HOW DO WE TEACH?
We use both the Old Testament and the New Testament as the foundation for our faith and teachings. The Holy Spirit is the Author and the Instructor of these precious message and therefore we depend on Him to guide us to all the truth. Christ is the great center of attraction in our teaching and preaching.
"It is the work of God in laying the glory of man in the dust, and doing for man that which it is not in his power to do for himself.” TM 456
"It is the darkness of misapprehension of God, [we fear Him] that is enshrouding the world. Men are losing their knowledge of His character. It has been misunderstood and misinterpreted." COL 415
When the sinner has a view of the matchless charms of Jesus, sin no longer looks attractive to him; for he beholds the Chiefest among ten thousand, the One altogether lovely. - Signs of the Times, 7/4/1892
The great center of attraction, Jesus Christ, must not be left out of the third angel’s message..- Selected Message Vol 1 pg 383
Why this Precious Message
It is the third angel’s message IN VERITY-COR 64
YOU come to God with humble hearts, not thinking that YOU must do some good work to merit the favor of God, or that YOU must make yourselves better before YOU can come to Christ. You are powerless to do good, and cannot better your condition. Apart from Christ YOU have no merit, no righteousness [ YOUR righteousness is filthy Isaiah 64:6]. Our sinfulness, our weakness, our human imperfection make it impossible that we should appear before God unless we are clothed in Christ’s spotless righteousness.
We are to be found in Him not having our own righteousness, but the righteousness which is in Christ." Philippians 3:9; Romans 10:3. “The righteousness of Christ is presented as a free gift to the sinner if he will accept it. He has nothing of his own but what is tainted and corrupted, polluted with sin, utterly repulsive to a pure and holy God. Only through the righteous character of Jesus Christ can man come nigh to God.” 1SM 333,342.
